If you don't already have a computer dedicated to audio, I recommend that you set-up your computer during rehearsal, and don't mess with it (don't use it for anything else) until you have captured the performance. just something in case you have a computer glitch. For the back-up, you might have to record in stereo with a digital recorder, or a CD/DVD recorder, or even a hi-fi VHS recorder. For recording an important one-time event, I recommend that you set-up a backup system recording in parallel. Computers are the least reliable piece of electronic equipment that we use regularly. In general, using a computer for this kind of thing makes me nervous. ![]() ![]() I don't actually do live recording, and I don't know anything about the PreSonus software.
